Someone made a comment at the beginning of November about the Project Binky YouTube series. In an effort to escape from post-election political talk, I began watching them from the start. I just got caught up and add my voice to those who highly recommend this series.
It helps to be a car nut who likes to know how much effort all the details take . . . and likes to watch others weld. I have enjoyed living vicariously without dealing with the headaches myself.
Now I wish these guys could do the work full-time so that the episodes would be produced more frequently.
And since I don’t subscribe to stuff on YouTube, I’m glad there are others on Oppositelock who will !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! (thanks Daily Drives a Dragon, Vlashen, several others).

Similarly to you I recently started and caught up to it. It’s an epic build and one done by people with some talent. But as much as that, I love the crap british humour and the naked gun/ police squad references. Just so enjoyable to follow, they have good personalities for this kind of thing.

I particularly enjoyed the setup for the joke about the fuel tank made from aluminium rather than aluminum, because that’s what it’s called (or so Nick claims).

I LOVE this series. So much detail. We all have those “dream swaps” that would never really work. Converting this or that to RWD or midengine or something. These two blokes prove it’s possible if you’re patient and you know what you’re doing.

The grand tour guys could learn a thing or two about delivering jokes from these guys for sure.

I didn’t use the subscription thing on YouTube forever and it made it so much better when I finally did.
But yeah. Every once and a while, I’ll watch a few episodes over again.

I heard about this a while back from a friend, but I’ve never gotten around to watching it.
I should probably change that.

If you need a new series look up jaffromobile he’s got a ton of stuff.
The subject matter is usually DSMs and its usually a lot of time lapse work with voice overs, but it gets into dirty details of everything and I find it really entertaining and educational regardless of the fact that I never have or likely will own a DSM

It does look like the Reidus and Cletus show will be in a similar spirit.
